Save the Date ... coming to a mailbox near you!

Your friendly USPS carrier should be busy this week, delivering our awesome Save the Date cards. As with everything in our wedding plans, this comes with a story! As Erik says - "STD - The E&K True Hollywood Story."

Pictures: Two were taken by Kari's mom at her Clemson graduation in May. One was taken by Daniel, Kari's brother-in-law, in front of her Grandparent's barn in December (yes - it was FREEZING!)

Design: Kari's sistermade the cards. Isn't she an awesome graphic designer? Many people have asked about the lower-case letters. That's just a style thing we do. Looks cool, huh? :) The colors are our wedding colors - red and cream ... does that really surprise you?! (Go Hoosiers!!) Also notice the recycle symbol in the bottom right corner. A little piece of dating history: The first "date" that we had was to the recycling center in Statesboro, GA. (** I can't figure out why the STD is coming up in blue when I post it on here)

Delivery: Kristen sent them Fed-Ex from Texas, with an arrival of Friday afternoon. Erik had come up on Thursday night for the weekend, and we were prepared for our exciting package! On Thursday morning, an extreme power outage hit campus, shutting down the University for two days! Kristen supplied us with the tracking number ... Erik called Fed-Ex ... Fed-Ex called the deliverer ... the deliverer called Kari ... and he brought the box to the parking lot outside the residence hall around noon on Friday!

Addressing: We printed our lists and started writing and stamping, finishing the project in about an hour and a half. We drove to the post office that night and put them in the outgoing mailbox, ready for the Saturday mail!
